Carlos Laboy started dancing at the age of 11 with the Albano Ballet Company based in Hartford CT. He became a preprofessional dancer at the age of 14 and grew into a professional dancer at the age of 18. Dancing on the Mohegan Sun arena stage at age 11, he knew he had a lot of opportunities coming his way throughout his dance career. Carlos had his big debut dancing on the Rudolf Nureyev Estate in Monte Carlo performing Peter and The Wolf, where he played as Peter. That was the first time he has traveled out of the United States for a Gig. This summer, Carlos was chosen out of hundreds to dance and act alongside international students from all over the world. He spent seven weeks, studying, training and learning how to dance as well as teach dance to urban students in the Westchester County. Growing as a dancer, he continues to take class at Broadway Dance Center in New York City.
Currently Carlos is going into his third year of college at the University of Connecticut, where he is studying Criminology and Law. He hopes to run his own dance club at UCONN. Carlos loves teaching, especially when it’s to students who are so dedicated to what they do. Carlos is so excited to start his second year at Limelite Dance Studio.
